CHROME STRATEGIC PARTNERS, LLC is a full-service consulting firm that works with campaigns, organizations, causes, and for-profit businesses. We focus on connecting clients to the communities that they seek to serve. Our team is comprised of experienced problem-solvers with a record of building coalitions and winning strategies, all while pushing our clients to mobilize and engage communities and change the fabric of the policies and lives around them.
We have gone against the grain by understanding the historical significance of old-school community organizing and coupling it with the new school data-driven approach. We recognize that all areas are unique and that nothing can be sustainable without people.
Our team has over thirty-five years of combined experience working with federal, state, and local governments, Political Advocacy, Government Relations and Affairs, Economic Development, Business Matching, and Business and Association Development.
Meet the Partners
Charles Taylor is a graduate of Morehouse College (Philosophy) and a member of Freedom Side, a national collective of social justice community organizers. He served as a State Organizer for the Mississippi Conference NAACP 2012 “This Is My Vote” campaign which registered 29,000+ African Americans to vote in Mississippi. Taylor was a Field Director and Campaign Coordinator for the Better Schools, Better Jobs (Initiative 42 in MS to fully fund education). Recently, he consults for One Voice, Inc. as a data manager and a community organizer for Energy Democracy. Taylor also consults a Data Consultant with MS Votes. Taylor recently served as the Data Director for Mike Espy for Senate Campaign in 2018 and served as Data Director for Jay Hughes for Lt. Governor of Mississippi in 2019. He currently serves as the Southern Organizing Advisor for Groundwork project founded by Former Congressman Joe Kennedy III.
Taylor served as the Data Scientist for the National Baptist Convention for the 2018 midterm election cycle and currently serves as the Statistician for the National Baptist Convention under the leadership of President Jerry Young.
Taylor provides consulting services for non-profits and progressive candidates ranging from federal to local districts. With a background in community organizing, political direction, and canvassing, Taylor has a unique perspective, intuitive insight, and sound judgment in the area of political analytics.
Jared W. Turner is a native of Tupelo, MS, and a 2007 graduate of the University of Mississippi.
Upon graduating in 2007, Jared took his first job in politics as the Political/Field Director for a statewide campaign. Since that time, the primary focus of his career has centered around political campaign management and organizing, non-profit fund development and compliance, and organizational management. He has had the opportunity to work through every level of our electoral process, from municipal to federal campaigns, non-partisan Judicial races, and issue advocacy.
These combined experiences have enhanced his political and business acumen and allowed him to open his consulting firm, Jefferson Stevens, LLC, and work across the state and Country.
Additionally, he has also served as a non-profit executive director and Board member of the state’s largest county economic development agency.
Although work takes up a large portion of Jared’s time, his favorite jobs include being a gym dad to his daughter Kaylen, soccer and baseball coach for his son, Ian, and partner to his wife of over ten years, Sharonda. Jared currently lives in Jackson, MS, where he is very active in his community through his church, social and civic engagement organizations, and family.
